These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website csitnoteshub.com and the CSIT Notes Hub mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by CSIT Notes Hub ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, whether through the website or the mobile app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Intellectual Property
1.1 Platform Ownership
The Platform, including its design, layout, source code, logos, branding, and all original content created by us, is the intellectual property of CSIT Notes Hub. This applies to both the website and the mobile application. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
1.2 No Responsibility for Third-Party Content
While we own and operate the Platform, we do not claim ownership of the academic content, syllabi, or examination materials that originate from Tribhuvan University or other educational institutions. We do not take responsibility for any third-party content hosted or referenced on the Platform.
2. User-Contributed Content
2.1 License Grant
By uploading, submitting, or otherwise contributing study notes, documents, or any other content ("User Content") to the Platform—whether through the website or the mobile app—you grant CSIT Notes Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and make available your User Content on the Platform and through our services for educational purposes.
2.2 Your Representations
When submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original author or have the necessary rights and permissions to share the content.
- Your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
- Your content does not contain any unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material.
2.3 Right to Remove
We reserve the right to remove or modify any User Content at our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
3. Disclaimer of Liability
3.1 Educational Resource Only
The Platform is provided strictly as an educational resource to assist BSc CSIT students. All study materials, notes, past questions, and related content available on the website and mobile app are offered on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any content on the Platform, including but not limited to user-uploaded notes and study materials. Users should independently verify all information and consult official university resources.
3.3 No Responsibility for Academic Outcomes
CSIT Notes Hub is not responsible for any academic outcomes, including but not limited to examination results, grades, or performance. Use of the Platform's resources is entirely at your own risk and discretion.
3.4 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CSIT Notes Hub and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Platform or its content. This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from app crashes, data loss, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in content.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree that you will not use the Platform to:
- Scrape or harvest data: Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technology to extract content or data from the Platform without our explicit written permission.
- Mass download: Attempt unauthorized bulk or mass downloads of notes, documents, or any other content from the Platform.
- Compromise security: Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Platform, including authentication systems, access controls, API endpoints, or server infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer: Decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the mobile application or any part of the Platform's software.
- Distribute malware: Upload or transmit any viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code through the website or app.
- Misrepresent identity: Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Engage in abuse: Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users of the Platform.
- Commercial exploitation: Use content obtained from the Platform for any commercial purpose without prior written consent.
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate termination of your access to the Platform and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
5. Account Responsibilities
If you create an account on the Platform, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account, whether on the website or the mobile app.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your account credentials are shared across the website and the mobile app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms on either or both platforms.
6. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services, including Firebase (Google) for authentication, analytics, cloud messaging, and crash reporting. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of any third-party service providers.
7. App Store Terms
If you download or use our mobile application, your use is also subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable app store (e.g., Google Play Store, Apple App Store). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the app store terms, these Terms shall govern your relationship with CSIT Notes Hub to the extent permitted by the app store provider.
8. Links to External Sites
The Platform may contain links to external websites or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. Inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by CSIT Notes Hub.
9. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified through the mobile app. The revised "Effective Date" at the top will indicate when the latest changes were made. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the website and the mobile app ceases immediately. You should uninstall the mobile application upon termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nepal.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
